If you receive an email or a letter from your assigned servicer about a loan transfer, you may see delayed posting of the LRAP Award credits.
According to the Department of Education, your previous loan servicer and new loan servicer will work together to make sure that all payments made during the transfer process are credited to your loan account with the new servicer; however, delays in crediting are typical and can be 60-90 days.
As soon as you know your new servicer, please reach out to lrapsupport@fosterus.org so that we can begin sending the LRAP Award to the new servicer.
